ROUND OF 16
Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 introduces a round of 16 following the pool phase, expanding the knockout stage to include more teams and more high-stakes matches.
Ireland’s round of 16 match location and opponent will depend on their finishing position in Pool D. Should they finish as either the pool winner or runner up, they will be staying in Melbourne. Details of the potential round of 16 matches can be found below.
